ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
The DM will support the strategy by establishing specific goals and tactics for the merchandising team in order to achieve results.
Responsible for directing the efforts of category managers, ensuring alignment with the company strategy and is achieving agreed-upon results.
Responsible for leading the entire product merchandising team, coordinating and directing teams that manage new product and category launches and managing existing products that support our aggressive growth goals.
Responsible for developing a positive work relationship with our Supply Chain team to build successful vendor relationships.
Responsible for directing the development of new initiatives and managing product introductions.
Responsible for ensuring profitability through accurate forecasting.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree or higher.
5-7 years experience in product merchandising or product management.
Strong management skills with experience hiring and managing a team of 10 or more.
Ideal candidate would have background inside the healthcare distribution or medical device industry.
