Men’s Size 10 1890s Antique Brown Leather OLIVER MOORE Polo Horse Riding Boots with Wood Shoe Trees owned by Philanthropist John Blodgett

Purchased in the 1980s or early 1990s in Grand Rapids, MI, from an auction of the Blodgett estate. They have no visible tags or indication of size, although they measure roughly 20” tall, 11 7/8” long from heel to toe, 4.5” at widest part of bottom of boot (around ball of foot area), 4” long x 3.25” at heel and a 1” heel. I believe these are the equivalent of Size 10 (medium width), given aforementioned measurements.

These have been in the family for a few decades, used solely as a household decoration. Both boots appear to be in excellent, almost perfect condition, especially considering their age. As far as I’m aware, the leather hasn’t been conditioned since they’ve been owned by my family. Any superficial nicks or scuffs give the boots character…I’ll leave it to the buyer RE: whether or not leather conditioning is desired. Sold as pictured.
