These diecast cars are from the NASCAR Action Elite Series. the flagship series of Action Racing Collectables (ARC), Dale Jarrett driving the Batman car and Kenny Erwin driving the Joker car. $60 for the set.

In 1947 NASCAR was established and in 1997, to celebrate NASCAR’s 50th Anniversary these special paint schemes were created. Before the race Dale Jarrett and Kenny Irwin came out in full costume as Batman and the Joker to stage a fight scene to an exuberant audience. Both the Batman and Robin cars as a set in Action Elite and in like new condition, is very hard to find.

They are both like new and come with Action Elite display boxes with covers and original packaging even with the original tissue paper. Produced by Lionel Racing. Action Racing Collectables brand is well known to diecast collectors and enthusiasts. The Action Elite Series is the most detailed NASCAR diecast available right down to the body shape and contour. The Elite series was manufactured in low production numbers adding to their collectability. Attention to detail and high end plated finishes add to their value. The wiring on the engine and the gas tank in the trunk are among some of the detailed features of this series.

I have no interest in breaking up this set. It is rare to find both Batman and Robin available in the Elite Series. Years ago, it seemed that Kenny Erwin’s Robin Joker car was more available on the internet than Batman, but lately it has become a rare find especially in Action Elite. Dale Jarrett’s Batman car now appears to the one seen. In the few instances that Batman’s car appears in Action Elite it is separate, not with Robin.

This rare set would be a great addition to anyone’s collection.
