Vintage Mid Century Artisan Hand Carved Crafted Kenyan Antique Folk Art African Hardwood Continental Africa Shaped Quartz Wall Clock

Hand sculpted folk art wall clock; made circa 1950-1970 in Kenya. It measures roughly 24” long x 19” wide, and is carved of a reddish medium-light brown African hardwood. It appears to be one solid piece of wood, except for bezel, which is a thinner circular wooden panel, and it’s glued to the rim of the clock, holding the glass face panel in place. Please note that clock is not working, and battery operated mechanism needs to be replaced. As seen in photo(s), a significant portion of the thin bezel panel is coming loose; this will actually make it easier to remove glass face panel when replacing the clock mechanism. After replacement, the bezel would then require being re-adhered to clock with wood glue, or adhesive of choice. Very unique & beautiful artifact…and will be even better once it’s ticking again. Sold as pictured.
