Horizons Developmental Resource Center is looking for someone to support clients in our Individual Instruction program serving children, teens, and young adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. This program focuses on 1-1and small group instruction in the areas of activities of daily living (cooking, cleaning, self-care, etc.), academic skills, community skills, social skills, and vocational skills. Staff members work with clients in the clinic setting as well as in various community environments.
Certified professionals oversee the program and provide instructional assistants with training and ongoing supervision.
This is a part-time position (25-30 hrs/week) with the possibility of full-time in the future. Program hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, so all scheduled shifts will be during these time periods. Pay starts at $15/hr, and is negotiable depending on education and experience. While no specific educational degree is required, this is a great fit for people with backgrounds in education (teachers, para-pros, etc.) or any type of therapy setting.
