Futon can fold down into a full size bed. The cushion is very thick and comfortable. The arms are wood and open to small storage areas. Under the arms are magazine rack
s. I cover with a sheet or comforter to make keeping it clean easier. There is one small stain on the cushion itself. From a non- smoking, clean home.
