Four are barred - 1/2 Barred Holland, 1/4 Dorking, 1/4 other breeds. Their daddy and granddaddy are excellent roosters, never aggressive to people, watch for hawks, alert the hens when food is to be found, etc.
Three roosters are pure Gold Brabanters that I got in a mystery chick box. They are small (but not bantam small), goofy chickens with a sort of a tuft on top and a beard.
The other 4 are mystery chicks. One (barred in color) grew really fast and caught up in size to chicks a month older pretty quickly so there are some interesting genes there and he's pretty big. One is Spotted and matured really slowly (not aggressive at all). One is a copper orange color and is a little bit aggressive but not too bad. The kids put him in his place a bit. All came from Sandhill Preservation Center so they are not the usual breeds.
Some would be great with a flock, some great for dinner. I like them but just can't keep them.
