Vintage and sought after Smith Corona Silent typewriter in great condition! Clean, cared for and functional; keys type easy. This is a classic, attractive portable - it's a super smooth and well built machine in good tact. This era has the awesome glass keys and unique stylish black with face stripe and decals; sleek design, looks great on a desk. The Smith Corona Silent is one of the earliest typewriters to incorporate a basket shift, rather than the more cumbersome carriage shift and is an all-around bulletproof machine. It's sought out by writers for it's quick, fast action. This model, based on the serial, is likely a '48. Ribbon in the machine has some life left in it - it's an easy and cheap swap-out if you're inclined. If you're in the market, this is a solid machine and full package.
