condition: good
make / manufacturer: Martin
model name / number: Handcraft Imperial
I have for sale a 1937 Martin Handcraft Imperial Trumpet. Considered by many to be one of the best playing and sounding solo jazz trumpets of all time with relatively “loose” slotting and dark “smokey” sound. The Martin Handcraft Imperial model trumpet was the predecessor to the famed Martin Committee model trumpet. This trumpet was re-lacquered at some point in the past and looks very nice. A patch had at some time been added to the lower exit tube of the bell coming out of valve #1. A sleeve patch was recently added to repair a small pin hole leak in the leadpipe. This was a players horn and the valves show signs of wear but are still very fast and smooth. I have been using BERP Bio-oil #3, a special formulation valve oil for vintage horn with looser tolerances. All slides are true and pull easily. This is a great looking and playing horn. Please check out all the pictures. Comes with a nice Wolf Pac hard sided gig case. I have reduced my asking
price to $750 for this trumpet. Call or text for more info. Scams and requests for codes will be ignored. Post will be deleted when sold.
