Yoooooooooo

I've been producing music for almost a year now, which makes me quite the amateur, but hear me out. I am getting really tired of the daily work grind, but I know it's not going away any time soon. The one thing that gets me through the day is knowing I'll be able to make a little music. I've studied my ass off on music theory because I have no formal background in music or playing a real instrument. While making music by myself is fun, one of the things I looked forward to is being able to make music with other people. I don't have too many music friends besides one. We created a track together, and it is by far my favorite song I've ever created/helped create. Unfortunately, he's in a real band playing real shows these days so being able to work with him is a very rare occasion.

Anyway, onto the point of this whole post. I'm really just looking for someone that has a real passion for music the same way I do. If you could happily imagine a 9-5 making music, that's the kind of vibe I'm looking for in a music partner/friend. I'm 23 years old, happily married man with a family so I do have a very full schedule, but I'm always able to make time for music and friends. Even if you just want to chat, I would be cool with that because I'm almost totally deprived of talking about my favorite hobby. As far as producing goes, I do all my work on LMMS which is a free program. I have experience using Studio One (loved using it a lot) and FL Studio (don't own it, still understand it). I'm learning Garage Band, and I'm thinking about trying out CakeWalk or whatever its called lol. I have a decent mic that I edit vocals with on Audacity, but I'm a pretty average singer/rapper. Of course, I'm still trying to practice and get better, but I think somebody else singing would sound a lot better. I'm an excellent poet which I'm trying to translate my years of experience of that into writing lyrics, but it's definitely still a transition I'm going through. Oh, and as far as preferred genres I like producing, a lot of my music sounds a bit like Space Jazz, but I'm trying to refine it to be R&B. I'm open to all genres, this is just what generally inspires me a lot and what I have the most fun making.

If you've read this far, thanks for checking out my post. If you're another producer, musician, or singer/rapper, I would love to work together on something just to see what awesome jams we can come up with and maybe help us grind out our days a little easier :p let's get something set up!
