I play drums and have a number of years of experience and am pretty decent at it and am looking to get more active playing. I have one band that I'm in that I've been in for a long time; but the main dude is too busy and I would like to find more to do. I really like heady/trippy/psychedelic type stuff from lots of different categories and time periods but am open to a variety of stuff. I have a huge background in the Grateful Dead and was heavily into going to shows and playing in bands that played their music for 20 years. I also like alot of late 70s and 80s post-punk/alternative/indie/new wave stuff like Jesus and Mary Chain, Echo and the Bunnymen, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Men Without Hats and other, more modern, indie sounds I've heard on listener-supported radio stations. I like, pretty much, the good stuff from almost all genres but am not really interested in playing any heavy metal. I'm open to more than one project if it works out. Just want to meet people and see what's out there. I'm also starting to look into writing and recording my own stuff, too, to see what I can create. I'm 49 years old, if it matters to anyone; but I have no kids and am not married and am still into the musician lifestyle.
