We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Salesman to join our team at the Java Journal. As an Outside Salesman, you will be responsible for selling advertising spots in our aggregate advertising coupon mailer, which is delivered to high-end homes in West Michigan. This is a commission-based position that offers a great opportunity for retirees or individuals looking to make a substantial income.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect, pitch, and sell advertising spots in the Java Journal to local businesses.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients to understand their advertising needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Meet and exceed sales targets by aggressively selling in multiple towns in West Michigan.
- Utilize a consultative selling approach to educate clients on the value and benefits of advertising in the Java Journal.
- Work closely with the sales team to coordinate advertising schedules and ensure client satisfaction.
- Attend networking events and community gatherings to expand your network and generate leads.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Java Journal's content and features to effectively communicate its value to potential advertisers.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in advertising or media.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with a hunger for success.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with the West Michigan area and local business community.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
